Description
The selected works belong to artists living and working in Chile. This is reflected in their careers, characterized by a constant enhancement of critical dialogue between locality, art community and society. Both artists are recognized for their intense labor since the eighties during the dictatorship, a period in which they were noted for their active political work and constant criticism through different artistic expressions. Their work contain critical thoughts abut domination and subordination, gender categorizations, as well as analysis of Chile’s historical context, from dictatorship to what has been termed post-transition.
