Besides an intense activity in the field of sculpture during the last two decades in which he uses materials such as glass and brick to create architectural spaces and other pieces both small and large, the catalan artist Jaume Plensa has showed a strong inclination towards theorization, which is reflected in the progressive conceptualization of his work.
