«The rest of my speech —he explained to his men—, you shall hear when I’ve leisure to speak it.
But the Snark is at hand, let me tell you again,‘Tis your glorious duty to seek it!»
Lewis Carroll, THE HUNTING OF THE SNARK, 1876.
Taking the title of Lewis Carroll’s epic poem The Hunting of the Snark, considered a disconcerting, mysterious and meaningless work, the artists Guillermo Faivovich and Nicolás Goldberg shape this collector’s book.

Description
000 years ago a number of meteorites hit Campo del Cielo, a region located in the northeast of Argentina. «Since their fall on the distant planes of the Gran Chaco –claim its creators-, these iron masses have been the centre of a strange fascination, the search for answers and the site of constant pilgrimages [...], as well as the object of study and amazement of a long list of expeditionaries, scientists and enthusiasts.» The story of Campo del Cielo constitutes an enormous puzzle. Faivovich and Goldberg investigate and revisit this tale with voluminous documentation in an attempt to challenge the passage of time.
Apart from a foldout map and a card with the quote by Carroll, this facsimile edition also includes texts, articles and news from the end of the XIX century and early XX, to explain facts and a story in which the make-believe and imaginary devour the reality and the historic narrative. El libro Incluye mapa plegado y tarjeta con texto estampado.
Author

Guillermo Faivovich (Buenos Aires, 1977)and Nicolás Goldberg, (Paris, 1978) focus their creative interest on the cultural and social impact of the meteorites of Campo del Cielo (Argentina). Using this premise as a starting point, they trace texts to reconstruct and reinterpret the facts. Their work can be appreciated in the main art centres and their participation in Documenta (13) in Kassel in 2012 particularly stands out. They both live and work in Buenos Aires.
